Hi, I'm Kendal Orgera

(she/her/hers)
I am a health policy researcher with extensive experience in statistical programming and population and health-related quantitative analyses. My work covers many health policy topics in the United States (e.g., Medicaid, Medicare, uninsured, health care costs, social determinants, health equity, COVID-19, Alzheimer's, aging, mental health, rural health). I am passionate about effectively using data to shape decisions and inform the general public. Over the past few years, health care spending has become my primary interest.
As of February 2025, I am saddened to say that I joined thousands of others in the DC area that were laid off. Due to organizational reprioritization and financing, the think tank I worked for at AAMC was determined to be outside of the organization's mission and my team and I were let go. I am extremely grateful, though, because I am employed until the end of the fiscal year (June 30th). If you've found my website through LinkedIn or job applications, I welcome you and am more than happy to chat - whether it's about a job, my areas of expertise, or to even commiserate. I'm a firm believer that even when life gets tough, there are opportunities to learn and grow and I'm quite excited for what the future has in store.
I am also very eager to further develop my portfolio and am happy to discuss any potential consulting needs in and out of the health care sector.
